ABOUT US
THE NAME
Let’s start and say a little about - Kawada -.
Kawada means river field in Japanese, 革 river 田 field.
This name inspired the journey for all of us, and it starts in the salon.
For you, the client, that moment you have all had. I need to find a hairdresser and I want it for life, sound familiar?
For us, it will go from the vast amount of knowledge that gravitated around the hair industry and the industry itself, to the practice and physical effort that allow us to provide you with a dosage of passion and creativity powered by adrenaline.
So here is our journey.
We are here for your hair. Rediscover your salon experience. We are stylists, we are colourists, but we aren’t therapists. We love to talk, we love to share, but we are primary here. for. your. hair.
THE SPACE
THE SALON
Set in an open plan space akin to your lounge room; the area is designed to allow you the freedom of space, without the pressure of forced small talk during the processing time of your hair
You will see a ‘‘Talk/No Talk’’ card at the salon, feel free to flip into No Talk and the only conversation we will have will be about your hair and your hair only :)
The salon space is here for you to feel homie, you can chill, you can dance, or finish off this work that invading your emails.
Make use of the wifi coverage or pour yourself a beverage. Why not both!?
WE ARE GREEN
Being green is key in this current world and it means a great deal to us. As a salon, there can be a huge amount of waste but we strive to reduce that to an absolute minimum.
We currently and will always continue to recycle plastics, papers, cardboard, and metals but are now working on giving you more of a choice about where your hair goes! We have decided to let you, the client, choose where you would like to donate your hair.
We have teamed up with two organisations and when you want to donate you can decide! The links below will allow you to find information about the two companies we will donate your hair to, so you can cut your hair in the knowledge of where it goes.
